Guides

Vokyt on any site

The Vokyt player is two lines of HTML. If you can add code to your site, you can add your voice notes. Pick your platform: each guide has its animated demo and step by step.

Pick your platform

How it works, in 2 lines

One script line, once for the whole site, ideally in the head. It loads the player (under 15 KB) and carries your site's public key.

html
<script src="https://vokyt.cc/player.js" data-key="pk_live_…" defer></script>

Then, in each article, the voice note tag, where it should appear:

html
<vokyt-player note="note_…"></vokyt-player>
  1. 1Dashboard → Sites and integration: add your site and all its domains (with and without www, plus the platform's preview domain if you use it). The player won't show on an undeclared domain.
  2. 2Copy the public key pk_live_… into the script line.
  3. 3Dashboard → Voice notes → a note → “Intégration” (Embed) box: copy its <vokyt-player> tag.

The public key (pk_live_…) can appear in your pages. The secret key (sk_live_…) must never be there: it is only for server-side plugins.

Medium, Substack, LinkedInListening link

These platforms don't accept custom code. Use the voice note's listening link: pasted alone on a line, it shows a preview with an image. Or post the video audiogram (Creator and Pro plans) on LinkedIn, Instagram and X.

Voice note not showing?

  • Is the page's exact domain (with or without www) declared in Sites and integration?
  • Is the script line present once, with the right pk_live_… key?
  • Is the voice note ready (transcript done) in the dashboard?
  • Did the editor keep the tag? View the published page's source and search for vokyt-player.
